PAUL JUBB

A long-time supporter of the club, Paul was involved as a parent of James, Robert and Kevin, as a coach and sponsor. He had significant involvement in the early years, getting the club off to a great start. His family continued to provide support over a number of years.

JOHN BARWICK

A founding member of the club, John was awarded STJFL Coach of the Year in 2009 and coached for 15 years from 2001 to 2016. Seven-time Premiership Coach, “JB” has the distinction of being U18 Premiership coach in 2014, U18 State and Southern U18 Premiership Coach in 2012, U16 Premiership Coach in 2010 and 2011 and U17 Premiership Coach in 2005 and 2006.

IAN ANDERSON

Ian was a founding member of the Sandy Bay Junior Football Club, serving the Club with distinction as President from 1994-2003 and Treasurer from 1994-2007. Ian was actively involved as a member of the Board of the STJFL, acting as President and League Delegate. Ian was an outstanding and selfless volunteer.

MICK ARNOLD

Mick started with the club when his boys started in U8s in 1997 and has never really left. He served as Vice President, League Delegate and Properties Steward. A Premiership Coach with the U15s in 2004 and STJFL Coach of the Year 2002. Mick joined the Board of the STJFL and became a Development and Education officer with AFL Tasmania. He’s a keen supporter of the Girls Program at the Club.

STEVEN HAY

Steven commenced with the club in 1997 as AUSKICK Co-ordinator and then coached his eldest son Simon’s teams from U8 to U15. He was a Premiership Coach of the U15s in 2006 and U14As in 2011. Steven served as President from 2005 to 2008 then as a committeeman until 2014 and during this time worked hard to maintain the club’s U17 team in the competition. He also coached his son Will’s team and took over AUSKICK in 2016.

STEVEN SCHADE

Steven was coerced into looking after AUSKICK and found himself busy as coach for the next nine seasons. Steve served as a committeeman and League Delegate and helped in a number of other volunteer roles for the club.

TIM JOHNSTONE

Tim commenced with the Club in 2004. He coached for 10 years and served as a Committee member, including Property Steward. Tim was President from 2014 to 2016 and was always prepared to make difficult decisions while upholding the Club’s values. He’s also sponsored the Lions for many years.

SCOTT HARRIS

Scott commenced coaching with the Club in 2012 in his son Sam’s team of Under 10s and continued in that role for four years, finishing when the boys were Under 13s. He was President from 2017 to 2019 and led the Club admirably, always putting the future of the Club first. Scott has been runner for his youngest son Luke’s team in 2019 and 2020 and in 2021 assisted as a runner/assistant coach.
