Child and Youth Safeguarding Statement

The Sandy Bay Lions Junior Football Club (SBJFC) is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and well-being of children and young people in our care that access activities, programs, services, and facilities for which the SBJFC is responsible for.

SBJFC’s Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy and procedures seek to promote and protect the rights of all children and young people in our care and prevent abuse from occurring by fostering a child safe culture. In the event of concern or an allegation is raised in relation to child abuse that has occurred under SBJFC’s care, the Club will ensure that it is treated seriously, in a culturally sensitive manner and fully investigated in accordance with relevant legislation and SBJFC’s policy and procedures.

SBJFC will actively promote the safety and wellbeing of children and young people, whilst recognising the need for participants to take direct responsibility for providing a safe physical and online environment for children and young people in their care.

Yours Sincerely,

Stuart Hammond
